About
I’m Chris Rios, a computer science major at the University of California, Irvine. I am capable of writing programs in various different languages, such as Python, C#, and Swift. My personal blog is mostly a journal for me, but I have it publicly available for anyone to read.
I have worked on various different projects and ventures related to the computer science field over the years. For instance:
- I was the vice president of my high school’s Computer Science Club
- I am the founder and president of the Anteater Linux User Group (ALUG@UCI)
- I developed an add-on preset manager for the game Left 4 Dead 2
- I am currently developing a server-based containerization service for ALUG@UCI
For the last year, I have been working hard on finding and creating new experiences for myself. And I think I’ve been finding success in my endeavors; I recently got to participate in IrvineHacks 2026 and will soon participate in HackTech at CalTech. I will also be partaking in an internship in Seoul, South Korea this summer.
In my free time, I like to learn about computers, play video games, watch TV shows, and going on walks.
I hope to become a software developer in the future, particularly in backend and DevOps-related fields.
